Page Executive has been engaged on an exclusive basis to appoint a Chief Financial Officer for a rapidly growing construction business based in Boston, MA. This search is for a high impact finance leader to join a business that has experienced significant expansion and is entering its next phase of growth.
Job Description
The CFO is a pivotal leadership role reporting directly into the CEO. The business has scaled quickly in recent years and is seeking a CFO who can bring structure, rigor and strategic financial oversight to support continued expansion.
You will take full ownership of the finance function, providing both hands on leadership and strategic direction. This role requires an individual who is comfortable operating in a fast paced, evolving environment and who can bring clarity and control to complex and challenging business operations. Main duties and responsibilities include the following:- Lead and develop the finance function, implementing best practice processes and controls
- Oversee all accounting, reporting and financial planning activities
- Drive improvements in financial systems, data integrity and reporting accuracy
- Partner closely with the CEO and senior leadership to support commercial decision making
- Manage cash flow, forecasting and working capital effectively
- Support bonding requirements and relationships with external stakeholders
- Provide leadership during continued growth, including potential system enhancements and operational scaling

The Successful Applicant
In return for a competitive remuneration package, the successful candidate will possess the following:
- Bachelors degree
- CPA - ideal but not essential
- Proven CFO or senior finance leadership experience within the construction or contracting sector is essential
- Strong technical accounting expertise with the ability to operate both strategically and hands on
- Experience improving and stabilizing finance functions in high growth or evolving environments
- Confident, resilient and decisive, with the ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders
- Comfortable working in a dynamic setting that requires adaptability and ownership
- Strong systems experience, with exposure to construction accounting platforms advantageous
- Ability to work in the Boston office 5 days/ week (non-negotiable).
