The purpose of the Regional Vice President of Operations is to set and execute the region's operational vision and strategy by aligning cross-functional partners, ensuring the consistent execution of brand standards, guiding and developing director‑level leaders, fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture, and driving operational excellence and customer experience to support long-term growth, profitability, and market share. This position oversees the execution of all regional omni-channel operations (e.g., brick and mortar stores with e-commerce channels), including the leadership, development, and management of district and store leaders. This role oversees full regional P&L performance by driving sales and profit plans, analyzing financial and market data to guide strategy, reporting on results and competitive trends, and ensuring all financial targets are achieved or exceeded.

This role provides regional leadership of change and continuous improvement by guiding financial and operational decisions, driving and implementing new initiatives, and collaborating cross‑functionally to design, assess, and optimize business processes and solutions that improve efficiency, customer experience, and profitability. This role also ensures regional store operations consistently adhere to laws, regulations, and standardized policies by leading compliance efforts, driving operational consistency, and clearly communicating expectations to regional, district, and store leaders.

What we ask of you:

Strategic Planning & Operational Excellence:

  • Set regional operations strategic vision, direction, and execution plans in alignment with the business strategy and with organization-wide cross-functional collaboration to drive long-term growth and profitability
  • Lead operations strategy and omni-channel implementation across region
  • Champion and inspire demonstration of consistent operational brand standards and customer experience across all stores
  • Direct the collaboration and integration of functional work areas to ensure alignment and impact on the region
  • Act as the liaison between Operations Support and the brand, specifically within merchandising functions
  • Oversee the opening of new stores, remodels, and store closings within the region

Financial Management:

  • Retain full P&L responsibility for the region by developing plans to drive sales and maximize gross profits
  • Report on regional performance, competitive landscape, and strategic initiatives
  • Analyze financial reports and market data to inform decision-making and strategic planning
  • Ensure financial targets are met or exceeded

Change Leadership & Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive organizational change by providing financial guidance, analysis, and strategic direction related to retail controllable expenses
  • Lead and execute new initiatives across the region that drive sales and streamline operations
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with key business partners to propose and assess the feasibility of new business solutions and/or process improvements
  • Collaborate with operations support and cross-functional brand leaders to implement and track the success of new or revised solutions and/or processes

Team Leadership & Talent Development:

  • Lead regional operations team to ensure that strategies positively drive operational efficiency, strengthen net promoter scores, minimize shrink, and increase profitability are executed effectively and provide required results
  • Lead, manage, and develop director levels of leadership and provide indirect influence over their strategies and teams
  • Set regional operations talent priorities and assess, manage, and develop individual and team performance to those goals
  • Manage operations leadership meetings to facilitate business updates and initiatives related to retail operations, celebrating success and highlighting opportunities for growth and/or change
  • Role model and foster positive, inclusive, and collaborative work and team environments

Compliance, Policies & Procedures:

  • Ensure store operations remain compliant with ever-changing laws and regulations and all operational policies and procedures
  • Lead standardization efforts and ensure compliance across all regional store operations
  • Set the tone for store policies and procedures and ensure they are properly communicated and understood by regional operations leaders

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or other related discipline, required
  • MBA or equivalent master's degree, preferred
  • 12+ years of experience in senior leadership role within grocery or consumer-focused industry, within operations preferred
  • Experience supervising direct reports in leadership levels and influencing indirect reports
  • Experience leading new store openings and remodels
  • Strong business, operational, and financial acumen with ability to provide advanced operational insight and synthesize large quantities of quantitative data
  • Strong understanding of market and competitive dynamics
  • Comprehensive knowledge of store operations and omni-channel retail
  • Knowledge of business continuity and emergency planning
  • Knowledge of retail labor management
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Knowledge of asset protection operations
  • Knowledge of merchandising practices
  • Knowledge of human resource practices
  • Demonstrated ability to drive customer experience and operational excellence
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales and maximize profitability
  • Proven success leading and developing leaders and teams

  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, collaborate cross functionally, and comprehend a multitude of business functions
  • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders, especially cross-functional leadership

Salary range: $246,800-$370,200 and will be commensurate with background, experience as well as internal equity.
