Gut-Brain Therapist (Massachusetts)

SideBy Care
Lowell, MA

Location: Remote (must have active mental health license in Massachusetts)

Compensation: Part-Time hourly $55-80/hr

SideBy Care is the first AI-powered virtual care service for GI practices and their clients with Disorders of Gut-Brain Interaction (DGBI). Disorders of Gut-Brain Interaction (like IBS) affect over 100 M people in the US alone.

Our gut and brain are closely connected through a network of nerves, hormones, and chemicals. They constantly communicate with each other, which is why stress or anxiety can cause symptoms like cramping, bloating, diarrhea, etc. Similarly, gut problems can affect mood and stress levels, creating a cycle that impacts both our digestive and mental health.

SideBy Care provides gut-brain therapy with diet & lifestyle support in a virtual care service covered by insurance. 90% of clients report symptom improvement by 6 weeks!

SideBy Care leverages scalable technology & behavioral science-backed approaches to uncover root causes and promote lifelong health. We understand the complexities and challenges associated with functional GI disorders/DGBI because we have been there ourselves. This combination of experience and expertise has culminated in a purpose built, personalized, and client-first care program that offers guidance, support, empathy, and improved outcomes for those we serve.

We are seeking a part-time licensed mental health clinician to join our team as a Gut-Brain Therapist. They will provide direct client care for adults living with functional GI disorders/DGBI, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and participate in the refinement of the SideBy Care approach to delivery of care. The ideal candidate is skilled in providing professional therapeutic services to clients with GI conditions and associated behavioral health concerns and consulting with medical providers. We will provide training on gut-brain therapy if you do not have experience.

NOTE: This is a Part-Time Position and while remote, you must hold an active mental health license in the state of Massachusetts.
