Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Deliver expert nursing care in the Operating Room setting within a dynamic healthcare environment located in Leominster, MA. This contract opportunity requires a committed Registered Nurse to support surgical teams and ensure exceptional patient outcomes through skilled perioperative nursing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to support patient wellbeing throughout surgical interventions.
• Maintain sterile fields and uphold aseptic techniques to guarantee a safe operative environment.
• Conduct patient identification verifications, operative site confirmations, and manage specimen handling following established protocols.
• Assess and reassess patient status including pain management, administering medications, and responding to emergencies effectively.
• Provide respectful, individualized patient care that promotes dignity and positive self-regard.
• Document all nursing interventions and patient responses thoroughly and accurately.
• Support interdisciplinary communication through timely reporting and patient handoffs.
• Engage proactively in patient safety initiatives by identifying and mitigating risks to reduce healthcare errors.
• Assume responsibility for delegating and supervising nursing tasks and functioning as a resource for colleagues.
• Comply with hospital policies including attendance, hand hygiene, and incident reporting.

Qualifications:

• Current MA RN license required.
• Recent Operating Room experience is mandatory.
• ACLS certification required upon hire or an active BLS card with completion of ACLS within 60 days.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills essential.
• Ability to take call on a rotational basis.
