Location: Hyannis, MA

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Compensation: $2,345 – $2,560/week (Based on Experience)

Shift Details

• Day Shift – 5x8 Hours
• 09:00 AM – 05:30 PM
• 40 Hours Per Week
• No Call or Weekends on First Contract

Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Surgical Tech – OR General to support a variety of surgical procedures in a fast-paced operating room environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong sterile technique, excellent surgical support skills, and the ability to work across multiple surgical specialties.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments, drapes, equipment, and surgical supplies
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to AORN standards and hospital infection control policies
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and sterile supplies efficiently
• Handle and label surgical specimens appropriately for laboratory processing
• Support patient positioning, surgical dressings, and room turnover between procedures
• Ensure all surgical equipment and instrumentation are available and functioning properly
• Prepare and label medications safely under RN and surgeon supervision
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and OR staff to support quality patient care
• Participate in staff meetings, orientation, and ongoing educational activities as required

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician or Operating Room Technician program (Civilian or Military)
• Current NBSTSA Certification required
• Current BLS Certification required
• Strong experience scrubbing across multiple surgical specialties
• Orthopedic surgical experience preferred
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
