Role Description

Form Energy is hiring a Senior Staff Business Development Manager to build critical partnerships and execute sales to bring our transformative technology to the grid. This role reports into our Director of Business Development & Analytics. As part of our commercial operations team, you will drive forward the commercialization of our innovative storage product by leading cross-functional efforts and leveraging the expertise of our analytics, product, policy, and engineering teams. You’ll craft our commercial strategy in partnership with those teams and will drive Form’s conversations with customers across the energy market from origination through contracting. What you'll do:

  • Lead commercial conversations with potential customers, developing compelling pitches for diverse audiences from utility C-suites to asset operation managers

  • Lead contract negotiations with utility, developer, and C&I customers

  • Work with cross-functional deal teams (including analytics, policy, finance, and engineering) to guide customers through the sales process and to develop new markets for Form’s technology

  • Develop and execute on market strategy to allocate team resources toward highest-value opportunities

  • Serve as a key external liaison between the Form product and the energy industry

  • Be the “voice of the customer” with internal audiences such as product management and engineering

What you'll bring:

  • 12+ years of experience in sales, business development, partnerships, or project development in the electric power industry

  • Demonstrated experience in commercial contracting within the electric power industry

  • Ability to travel ~25%

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Compensation Range: $148,040 - $212,813
