Summary of Responsibilities
The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for assisting in the management of all individual and corporate income tax returns for the firm. We are seeking a full-time professional who can serve as a strategic and collaborative partner with the Management Team.
Essential Functions
Assist in management of the tax department, including supervision of staff
Maintain and monitor deadlines for tax return filings
Apply strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
Prepare and review corporate income tax returns
Prepare and review individual income tax returns
Produce E-Filing reports and monitor outstanding E-File needs as necessary
Monitor client productivity and budgets
Perform other duties as assigned by partners
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (CPA/EA preferred)
Minimum of 8 years’ experience with individual and corporate income tax returns
Minimum of 2 years’ experience supervising staff and reviewing returns
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to manage multiple tasks with professionalism and a positive outlook
Experience with CCH Axcess Tax preferred
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and other office tools
Demonstrated commitment to supporting firm growth
Ability to effectively operate office equipment and software
