Summary of Responsibilities

The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for assisting in the management of all individual and corporate income tax returns for the firm. We are seeking a full-time professional who can serve as a strategic and collaborative partner with the Management Team.

Essential Functions

• Assist in management of the tax department, including supervision of staff

• Maintain and monitor deadlines for tax return filings

• Apply strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations

• Prepare and review corporate income tax returns

• Prepare and review individual income tax returns

• Produce E-Filing reports and monitor outstanding E-File needs as necessary

• Monitor client productivity and budgets

• Perform other duties as assigned by partners

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (CPA/EA preferred)

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience with individual and corporate income tax returns

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience supervising staff and reviewing returns

• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

• Ability to manage multiple tasks with professionalism and a positive outlook

• Experience with CCH Axcess Tax preferred

• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and other office tools

• Demonstrated commitment to supporting firm growth

• Ability to effectively operate office equipment and software
