What You'll Do:

  • Observe and actively participate in maintaining a kosher dining environment in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Set up dining rooms according to meal service needs and Dining Supervisor instructions.
  • Utilize proper food handling, safety, and sanitation techniques at all times.
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout all dining and service areas
  • Serve meals in accordance with supervisor direction and established service standards.
  • Break down dining areas after meal service, following proper cleaning and closing procedures
  • Reset dining rooms efficiently and accurately in preparation for the next meal service.
  • ​​​​​​​Restock and clean side stations and wait staff work areas, including removing debris from dining room floors and maintaining clear, organized workspaces at all times.
  • ​​​​​​​Assist with meal service and clean-up, ensuring residents have a safe and pleasant dining experience.
  • Monitor residents for safety or medical concerns and promptly alert nursing staff as needed.

What You'll Need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and verbal communication in English
  • Able to stand, sit, walk, bend, and squat for extended periods
  • Capable of lifting/carrying up to 20 lbs independently and up to 50 lbs with assistance; able to push and pull objects as needed
  • Ability to withstand heat and humidity
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, visitors, staff, and external agencies
  • ​​​​​​​Must have proof of having received at least the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and following instructions in English
  • Previous experience with serving and/or working with the elderly preferred
