Commercial Spend & Pricing Manager

Our Team is based out of our office in Burlington, Massachusetts, where we work in-office Monday through Thursday each week, and remotely on Fridays. Team members must reside within or be willing to relocate to a commutable distance from our Burlington office.
What You will Accomplish
The Commercial Spend & Pricing Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing commercial investment and pricing strategies to drive profitable growth. This role partners closely with Sales, Finance, and Marketing to ensure commercial spend effectiveness, pricing discipline, and alignment with overall business objectives.
Commercial Spend Management
- Key lead in the planning, forecasting, tracking, and reconciliation of commercial spend budgets
- Management of commercial spend governance, controls, and approval processes. Inclusive of trade spend system.
- Analyze promotional and marketing spend performance, ROI, and post-event results to improve future investment decisions
- Identify opportunities to improve commercial spend efficiency and repurpose unproductive spend
- Ensure accurate accruals, deductions management, and financial reporting in partnership with Finance
Pricing Strategy & Execution
- Develop and manage list pricing, deal structures, and customer-specific pricing strategies
- Evaluate pricing actions (increases, decreases, pack changes) and assess margin and volume impact
- Support price architecture development across channels, customers, and product lines
- Monitor competitive pricing, market trends, and customer dynamics
- Ensure pricing compliance and resolve pricing discrepancies with Sales and customers
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Sales to align trade strategies with customer objectives
- Collaborate with Marketing on spend planning and execution
- Work closely with FP&A and Accounting on forecasting, budgeting, and month-end processes
- Support leadership with clear, actionable reporting and insights

In addition, for this specific role, we need someone who:
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, math, economics or a related field
- 10+ years of experience years of experience in trade & marketing spend, pricing, revenue management, or financial analytics within CPG
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
- Experience working with syndicated data and internal sales data
- Experience in CPG, retail, or consumer brands
- Familiarity with TPM (trade promotion management) and BI tools
- Strong communication skills with ability to influence cross-functional partners
- Strategic thinking with strong attention to detail
- Ability to translate data into clear business recommendations
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

The annual salary range for this position is $118,900 to $175,900, based on a full-time work schedule, anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational equity. Compensation may vary within that pay range depending on the selected candidate’s professional background, experience, operational needs, and other considerations permitted by law. The full compensation details will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer and may include eligibility for participation in a bonus program.
