Auto Body Appraiser Production Manager

APC Auto Body is building a high-performance collision repair operation focused on quality, efficiency, and growth. We are not an average shop—and we’re not looking for an average manager.

We’re looking for a leader who takes ownership, drives results, and holds a high standard for both themselves and their team.

Who This Role Is For

This role is for someone who:

• Takes full ownership of shop performance
• Is detail-oriented and highly organized
• Communicates clearly and professionally (especially in writing)
• Understands how to work with insurers and defend proper repairs
• Leads from the front—not from behind a desk

Who This Role Is NOT For

• Someone who needs constant direction
• Someone who avoids difficult conversations
• Someone who cuts corners or accepts “good enough”

Responsibilities

• Own and manage daily shop operations (production, quality, customer experience)
• Lead and hold accountable a team of technicians, estimators, and staff
• Ensure all repairs meet OEM and safety standards
• Manage insurer relationships and negotiate supplements effectively
• Monitor and improve key KPIs (cycle time, profitability, CSI)
• Oversee parts flow and eliminate bottlenecks
• Maintain a clean, efficient, and professional shop environment

Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

• Massachusetts Auto Damage Appraiser License (Required)
• Strong writing and documentation skills (this is critical)
• Proven experience managing or leading in a collision repair environment
• Deep understanding of insurance processes and repair procedures
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment

Preferred

• Experience with CCC One or similar estimating systems
• I-CAR certifications
• Familiarity with OEM certifications and DRP programs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
