Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
We have an outstanding career opportunity for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join a leading Company located in the Industrial Park, MA surrounding area.
Schedules Available:
Mon - Fri
2nd Shift: 2:30pm - 10:30pm
3rd Shift: 10pm - 6am
Join a nationwide leader in recycling and waste solutions in a full-production industrial mechanic role. You'll keep the plant's heavy production equipment-conveyors, balers, shredders, compactors, sorters-running safely, efficiently, and reliably.
- Work Environment: Primarily inside the Charlestown plant; dirty/industrial setting; some shop work.
- Equipment: Conveyors, shredders, balers, compactors, sorters-no rolling stock.
- Duties: Preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installations on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic production machinery
- Perform PM's and installations to prevent downtime
- Work independently or with a team to keep production on schedule
- Use maintenance software to document work orders
Basic Hiring Criteria:
- 5+ years of industrial/mechanical maintenance experience in production environments
- Mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
- Experience with large conveyors (24'+) and replacing/lacing belts
- Knowledge of 480V 3-phase motors
- Experience with telehandlers, forklifts, and loaders
- Own basic tools (socket sets, wrenches, cordless drill, grinder, multimeter)
- Valid driver's license
- Basic Welding knowledge
Desired Qualifications:
- Hoisting license/ skills
- Schedule 160 Pipe welding is a plus
