We are a progressive and successful group of funeral service professionals looking for a qualified, creative and caring new member of our funeral service family.
We are a family-owned 4th generation firm serving over 400 families a year, from two completely renovated and modernized facilities of the highest standard, with an active pre-need program. With our locations in beautiful Danvers and Salem, Massachusetts, on the historical North Shore, along with gorgeous beaches and historical fun there are many exciting things to do in our communities. We are looking for a complete funeral director, who has abilities in all aspects of funeral service. From meeting with client families, directing funerals, some preparation, creative memorialization, all aspects of funeral care. Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, effectively communicate, be knowledgeable with computers and funeral service operating systems, have a high sense of urgency. But most importantly be willing to exceed client family expectations and have the same focus as your colleagues. Qualifications – Graduated from an accredited mortuary school or college of mortuary science – Will be graduating with a funeral directors’ license soon – Have a Massachusetts Funeral Directors License or reciprocal ability. – Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required to operate company vehicles. – Great communication etiquette and interpersonal skills – ability to work in a team. – Proficient with technology – Have impeccable attention to detail and a high sense of urgency in task fulfilment. Funeral Director Responsibilities – Family Arrangements: Meet with grieving families to discuss funeral arrangements, understand their preferences, and provide guidance on available services and pricing. – Coordination of Services: Arrange and coordinate funeral services, viewings, cremations, life celebrations and burials. – Transportation Arrangements: Coordinate the transportation of the deceased from the place of death to the funeral home (No night transfers)– Support & Follow Up Services: Offer emotional support and guidance to grieving families, providing resources for grief counseling and other support services.
