Visitor Experience Receptionist

As our Receptionist in the Howe Building, your role extends beyond the desk. While you'll be tasked with welcoming guests, answering calls, and managing day-to-day front-desk operations, it's your personal touch that will shape the memories our visitors carry with them. Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Expectations include the following: - Answers telephones and directs the caller to the appropriate associate. Transfer a caller to an associate's voice mailbox when the associate is unavailable.
- Greets and welcomes guests with empathy and understanding as soon as they arrive at Perkins.
- Maintains visitor log and directs visitors to the appropriate person and office, issues visitor badges.
- Familiarity with Perkins and the ability to answer questions and/or know where to find the answers to callers/visitors questions.
- Provides callers with information such as company address, directions to the company location, company fax numbers, company website and other related information.
- Takes and retrieves messages for various personnel.
- Receives, sorts and forwards incoming mail. Maintains and routes publications.
- Coordinates the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.)
- Assists in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies.
- Assists with other related clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing and collating.
- Ensures reception area is tidy and presentable
- Keeps electronic calendars current.
- Maintains Perkins' vehicle key lockbox
- Coordinates with volunteers and student assistants at the front desk.
- Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience - High School Degree required
- Business and computer experience preferred
- Prior receptionist or office experience preferred
