Position Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced Loan Operations Specialist with in-depth expertise in commercial lending, including commercial real estate (CRE) and commercial and industrial (C&I) loans. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of loan due diligence, documentation, collateral management, and the full lifecycle of commercial loan processing-from origination through closing and booking. This role requires a detailed understanding of the flow of funds in complex commercial transactions and hands-on proficiency with LaserPro for loan document preparation.
Essential Duties:
- Review, prepare, and process documentation for CRE and C&I loans, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
- Perform due diligence on borrower and collateral information, including review of entity documents, insurance, UCC filings, and title work.
- Utilize LaserPro to generate loan documents in accordance with credit approvals and bank policies.
- Coordinate and facilitate loan closings, ensuring all required documents are executed and conditions precedent are satisfied.
- Support post-closing review and funding processes, including disbursement, booking, and collateral perfection.
- Verify and track collateral, ensuring accurate lien positions and documentation in the bank's system of record.
- Partner cross-functionally with loan officers, credit analysts, legal, and treasury teams to ensure smooth and compliant loan onboarding.
- Identify process gaps and recommend workflow improvements to enhance operational efficiency and data accuracy.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Commercial Loan Operations, preferably within a bank or financial institution.
- Strong knowledge of CRE and C&I lending, loan structures, collateral requirements, and lending regulations.
- Proven experience with LaserPro loan documentation software.
- Thorough understanding of loan funding flow and accounting entries related to commercial lending.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Skills and Job-Specific Competencies:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with commercial loan servicing systems is a plus.
Travel Requirements: No travel will be required, unless at the client's discretion.

Salary Range: SolomonEdwards values your unique and individual experience and background. As such, we take a comprehensive approach when determining compensation for our roles. The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training. A reasonable estimate for the current hourly range for this role is $40 - 45.
