Our client, a leading manufacturer specializing in heat treatment processes, is seeking a dedicated Heat Treat Operator to join their team. As a Heat Treat Operator, you will be an essential part of the manufacturing department supporting quality assurance and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Heat Treat Operator

Location: East Longmeadow, MA

Pay Range: $21.00 per hour

Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm

What's the Job?

• Operate horizontal electric-controlled atmosphere furnaces and vertical heat-treating equipment for continuous hardening and tempering of various sizes.
• Follow prescribed standard methods, practices, and procedures to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
• Work from coil identification tags, specifications, charts, tables, and written or verbal instructions to perform tasks accurately.
• Use micrometers, vernier calipers, overhead electric hoists, and other instruments to monitor and adjust furnace operations.
• Transport and secure coils and finished products, ensuring proper handling and safety compliance throughout the process.

What's Needed?

• Knowledge of charts, specifications, and micrometers.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Ability to use numbers including decimals accurately.
• Physical ability to lift, push, and pull weights between 5 to 25 pounds.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
