What you will do
- Serve as a primary point of contact: answer calls, greet visitors, and manage filing
- Enter and maintain orders, apply changes, and process cancellations per Customer Service Procedures and SOPs consistent with ISO requirements
- Review and communicate order and delivery status to customers and internal teams
- Provide certificates, proof of deliveries, back‑order details, samples, and real‑time status updates
- Handle challenging communications (extended backorders, notifications, credit holds) with professionalism; de‑escalate concerns through active listening
- Navigate customer portals to retrieve/download documentation
- Support cross‑functional office tasks for other departments as needed
What you bring
- Microsoft Office proficiency; 40–45 wpm typing speed; database and spreadsheet creation/maintenance
- Clear written and verbal communication; polished phone presence; diplomacy and negotiation abilities
- Listening and stress‑management skills; team‑first mindset with independent work style
- Organization, filing, record keeping, planning, and strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi‑task and manage time effectively
Background and experience
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–2 years in an office environment
Physical requirements
- Lift/move boxes or files up to 25 lbs occasionally
- Ascend/descend stairs as needed
- Sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop, and kneel
