Summary:
Our growing technology company seeks an experienced IT professional to join our elite team. We are looking for a self-motivated, customer service-oriented Associate IT Support Specialist to provide internal technical support in an efficient and accurate manner, advise and assist project teams with technology needs, and assist with the maintenance and growth of our IT systems. You will be the company's front line for solving IT-related problems.
Ideally, the right candidate will be based in the Boston, MA metropolitan area. This position is not a remote eligible position but has the potential to have some hybrid capabilities depending on the needs of the nearby office location. There will be an expectation to have more in-office vs. work from home days for this role.
What You'll Do:
Provide day-to-day technical support for employees in a local office and remote environment
Assist with basic monitoring of office systems and devices to ensure normal operation
Troubleshoot and support operating systems, applications, hardware, and VoIP tools
Assist with desktop and laptop setup, replacements, and basic hardware upgrades
Track and maintain hardware and software inventory
Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including account setup, device provisioning, and basic user orientation
Document common issues, solutions, and IT procedures in a clear and organized manner
Assist senior IT staff with IT projects, deployments, and system changes
Help maintain local office IT equipment, including network, AV, and conference room technology
What You'll Bring:
1–2 years of experience in an IT support, help desk, or technical support role (internships or academic experience welcomed)
Basic experience supporting Windows and/or macOS endpoints
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools such as Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint
Exposure to device management tools (Intune, MDM, or similar) is a plus
Basic understanding of networking concepts (Wi-Fi, switches, IP addressing)
Familiarity with conferencing and AV tools such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or conference room systems (e.g., webcams, microphones, TVs)
Experience with ticketing systems such as Zendesk, Jira, or similar is a plus
Comfortable assisting users both in-person and remotely
Willingness to learn new technologies and follow established IT processes
Ability to occasionally assist outside normal business hours for urgent issues
