Culinary Producer & Food Stylist
America’s Test Kitchen is seeking a Culinary Producer & Food Stylist to join our Imagery Team. This role bridges culinary production and food styling on all photography projects, occasional support for social video. This position plays a critical role in ensuring culinary accuracy, visual excellence, and brand integrity across all imagery created for our customers.
We are a fast-moving, high-demand team responsible for visually engaging food assets that power ATK’s cookbooks, magazines, app, site, and social platforms. Responsibilities
Culinary Production (Core Focus)
- Manage culinary production for photography and select social video shoots, ensuring recipes are executed with precision and aligned with ATK’s editorial and visual standards
- Lead pre-production planning for shoots, including:
- Developing prep lists to execute shot lists in collaboration with producers, photographers, and editors
- Coordinating food support needs, ordering and receiving ingredients, and managing kitchen equipment
- Execute and oversee food preparation during shoots, maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and consistency under tight timelines
- Depending on project scale, collaborate closely with a larger team of culinary producers and stakeholders, or independently own the full end-to-end execution of a shoot, including prep, ingredient ordering, cooking, and food styling on set.
- Anticipate and problem-solve production challenges in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Support post-production as needed through content review to ensure culinary accuracy and brand integrity
- Build strong working relationships across Imagery, Editorial, Design, and Production teams
Food Styling (Additional Focus)
- Style food for photography across a range of projects, including cookbooks, magazines, marketing campaigns, and digital platforms
- Collaborate with photographers, designers, and creative partners to achieve compelling, on-brand visuals
- Apply a strong understanding of how food translates on camera, adjusting techniques to deliver work that meets high industry standards and reflects a modern and visually clear aesthetic.

- Fastidious attention to detail in following and executing recipes accurately
- Experience styling food for photography, with an understanding of visual storytelling through food
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- Ability to work cooperatively in a group-oriented environment where decisions are often made collectively
Education and Experience
- Degree from an accredited culinary arts program or equivalent experience in recipe development or food media preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional cooking experience with demonstrated ability to precisely follow directions
- Prior culinary production experience strongly preferred
- Proven experience working in food media, photography, or related visual content production environments
Location & Work Model
This position is located in our Boston, MA office in the Seaport district. It is currently expected that this role will work primarily on-site, with remote days possible when no in-office kitchen or shoot support is required.
Salary Range:
$70,000-$75,000
The range provided is based on what we reasonably expect to pay for this job as of the time of posting. The actual salary offered will be determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, job-related knowledge, skills, geographical location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
