About the Development Team The six-person development team is responsible for raising revenue and increasing visibility to achieve BCNC's mission and goals. Revenue is achieved from government contracts, institutional and individual donors, as well as corporate partners and sponsors. The team is high-achieving and dedicated and aims to maintain a collaborative and supportive dynamic. About The Role The Development Associate will be responsible for supporting the achievement of BCNC's annual fundraising goals through work on annual appeals, database maintenance, recordkeeping, administrative support, and stewardship. In collaboration with Development Team members, the Development Associate supports the fundraising strategies for individuals, institutions, and corporate partners at all levels. We seek to hire a passionate, mission-driven professional to join our dynamic development team. The Development Associate will report directly to the Chief Development Officer. What You Will Do

  • Develop strategies and materials for annual fund appeals
• Implement online campaigns including writing of appeals, data management, and list management • Manage the stewardship program and monthly donor program • Research potential donors and institutional funders
  • Provide administrative support and maintain records on grant applications, reports, and forms
  • Track grants and reports submission and organize funders' communication
  • Create mailing and email lists for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
  • Prepare data for reports to measure progress towards fundraising goals
  • Collaborate with team members to support goals of the agency and department including events,

research, and administrative tasks What We Look For

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in a professional setting
  • Experience with databases and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • Strong attention to detail a must
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and cooperatively

Working Conditions

  • Occasional evening meetings and events required.
  • Travel is primarily local during the business day. May require travel to other locations occasionally.
  • Position is in-person 5 days a week at the Boston site with a potential for hybrid schedule.
  • Normal office conditions. Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment, includes the

operation of computer equipment for six to eight hours daily, physical demands associated with a traditional office setting, e.g., walking, standing, communicating, and other physical functions, as necessary.

Pay Range $45,000-$50,000 How to Apply Please Note You must be authorized to work in the United States. BCNC does not provide sponsorship for an employment work visa.
