Position Overview:
The Barista is responsible for preparing high-quality coffee and espresso-based drinks while delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee, friendly, and committed to creating a welcoming environment for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drink Preparation:
- Prepare a wide range of coffee and espresso-based beverages according to established recipes.
- Ensure consistency and quality in each drink, from brewing coffee to creating latte art.
- oFollow proper techniques for grinding, brewing, and steaming milk.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service, greeting guests with a warm attitude and assisting with orders.
- Educate customers on menu items, making recommendations based on preferences.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including counters, machines, and utensils.
- Regularly clean coffee equipment, ensuring it operates efficiently and safely.
- Restock coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies as needed.
- Cash Handling:
- Process customer transactions accurately, including handling cash and credit card payments.
- Balance the cash register at the end of each shift.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Barista is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, outgoing demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a passion for coffee preparation.
- Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
