Our Business Unit Lighting and Imaging offers smart solutions for light delivery and image transmission in demanding environments — from medical devices, industrial, and safety applications to aviation and automotive. With manufacturing sites in Europe and North America, and supported by SCHOTT’s global sales network, we are a leading supplier of high-quality fiber optic and LED components.
Your Contribution
- Manage the maintenance and repair of all production equipment, buildings, building equipment (HVAC, electric, gas, water, etc.) and grounds to ensure optimum performance, minimize down time, support safety, reduce costs, etc.
- Responsible for utilities (electric, gas, water, etc.) and wastewater treatment.
- Responsible for site security (guard service, ID badges, contractor/visitor access).
- Plans, organizes, directs and controls all maintenance activities and programs.
- Manages the activities of all Maintenance personnel.
- Orders all required materials and supplies to assure timely completion of jobs.
- Maintains materials and supplies inventory.
- Performs all personnel supervision duties, including resolution of personnel problems and reporting to management on performance.
- Provides for safe and orderly work environment in Maintenance and Wastewater Treatment.
- Ensures that safe work practices are followed.
- Develops and maintains preventative maintenance programs for machinery, equipment and facilities.
- Coordinates new equipment installation with engineering.
- Administers third party vending including security guard service, cleaning service and landscaping.
Your Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- B.S. degree in Engineering or similar discipline is preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Must have working knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, gas, manufacturing equipment, building codes, and mechanics.
- Must be able to quickly respond to emergency situations and provide solutions to the problems.
- Effective management skills -- plan, direct, organize and control.
- Effective interpersonal skills resulting in the ability to create effective working relationships with a diverse group of personalities.
- Strong analytical ability and a disciplined problem-solving approach.
- Ability to motivate and develop subordinates.
- Good judgment and good decision-making ability.
- Able to provide leadership for change and continuous improvement.
- Computer proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office software.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Effective communication skills: listening, writing, speaking and oral presentations.
- Self-motivated and results oriented.
- Able and willing to work with others on a team.
- Due to the nature of work performed at this facility, US Person status may be required.
Total Compensation (Salary + Bonus) Pay Range: $86,000-$145,000
Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
