At Norwood Urgent Care, we believe patients who have access to world-class hospitals deserve the same high-quality care in an urgent care setting. Our experienced medical team treats patients of all ages for acute and urgent needs in a friendly, efficient environment. Join us in a role where you’ll make an immediate impact, work with advanced digital image-capture equipment, and enjoy a schedule that supports balance and growth.
As a Radiologic Technologist at Norwood Urgent Care, you’ll play a key role in clinical support by performing diagnostic imaging (primarily X-ray) that helps our physicians and physician assistants diagnose and treat patients. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced but supportive setting, maintain quality and safety standards, and help deliver an excellent patient experience.
Core Responsibilities
- Operate our Konica digital X-ray equipment (and other imaging systems as needed) to acquire images for physicians and physician assistants.
- Follow physician orders promptly; position patients, ensure optimal image quality, and document studies in the patient record.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA and radiation-safety standards (ALARA principle) in daily work.
- Support patient scheduling, referrals to advanced imaging when indicated, and manage communication flow.
- Assist with inventory of supplies in the imaging area; anticipate needs and place orders as required.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with radiology, nursing, and administrative teams — engage in continuous improvement and problem solving.
- Participate in quality-control measures and help assure the imaging area meets all regulatory and accreditation standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Massachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist License.
- ARRT (R) certification required.
- All experience levels are welcome — whether you’re just starting your imaging career or have been in radiology for years.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail, high standard of image quality and safety, and a patient-first mindset.
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced urgent-care setting where you’ll handle patients of all ages and varying acuity levels.
Competitive hourly rate ($38-$46/hr) based on experience and skill.
- Full health, dental, and vision insurance.
- Paid Time Off (PTO) from day one.
- Fixed location, full-time role (no floating between sites).
- Scheduled weekends on a rotating basis — predictable blocks of weekend on/off.
- Opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art urgent care with dynamic patient presentations and imaging needs — great exposure, growth potential, and skill development.
- Friendly, collaborative team culture that values your contributions and professional growth.
