This position is part of the R&D department located in Waltham, MA and will be on-site. At Aldevron, we combine best-in-class products and service with the ideal operating environment to lay the groundwork for vital new discoveries worldwide. You will be a part of the cell-free DNA team and report to a Senior Scientist responsible for cell-free DNA process improvements.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Perform experiments and generate data for one or more projects under the guidance of the team lead or team members
• Produce and purify nucleic acids, proteins and other biologics
• Compile, report and present experimental findings
• Collaborate inter and intra-departmentally
• Participate in generating new ideas and brainstorming solutions
  
  

The essential requirements of the job include:

• BS degree biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or related discipline
• 1+ years of experience
• Detail-oriented with excellent documentation/record keeping skills
• Ability to work independently after being trained in a task
• Knowledge of molecular biology techniques such as PCR, electrophoresis, ELISA, etc
  
  

Travel:

• Limited travel may be required.
  
  

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Experience in mammalian cell culture techniques including expression-based assays, flow cytometry, and cell viability assays
• Experience in NGS or long-read sequencing technologies
