Locum MD (Medical Doctor) Trauma Surgery
Description
This on-site, contract position provides an exceptional opportunity to contribute to critical patient care and surgical services in a fast-paced environment within the staffing and recruiting industry.
As a Locum MD in Trauma Surgery, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality medical care to patients with traumatic injuries. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective treatment and recovery processes. Responsibilities
- Perform surgical procedures on trauma patients
- Evaluate and diagnose patients in emergency situations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans
- Provide post-operative care and follow-up
- Ensure compliance with medical protocols and regulations
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records
- Participate in team meetings and case discussions
- Stay current with advancements in trauma surgery techniques
Requirements
- MD degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of residency in general surgery
- Board certification in Trauma Surgery is preferred
- Strong clinical skills and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Commitment to patient-centered care
- Previous locum tenens experience is a plus
Schedule: 7a-4p
Call Requirement: Weekdays (4p-7a), weekends (6a-7a)
Patient Census: 30-50 total per day
Support Staff: APPs, residents
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
