Locum MD (Medical Doctor) Trauma Surgery

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical procedures on trauma patients
• Evaluate and diagnose patients in emergency situations
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans
• Provide post-operative care and follow-up
• Ensure compliance with medical protocols and regulations
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records
• Participate in team meetings and case discussions
• Stay current with advancements in trauma surgery techniques

Requirements

• MD degree from an accredited medical school
• Completion of residency in general surgery
• Board certification in Trauma Surgery is preferred
• Strong clinical skills and decision-making abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Commitment to patient-centered care
• Previous locum tenens experience is a plus

Schedule: 7a-4p

Call Requirement: Weekdays (4p-7a), weekends (6a-7a)

Patient Census: 30-50 total per day

Support Staff: APPs, residents

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
