Senior Engineering Support Specialist
- Oversee end-to-end hardware lifecycle processes from concept to end of life.
- Maintain governance around change management, version control, and release processes.
- Partner with engineering leaders to ensure lifecycle milestones are met.
Bill of Materials (BOM) Management
- Manage the creation, accuracy, and maintenance of Bills of Materials.
- Ensure BOM structures align with engineering requirements, manufacturing needs, and configuration management standards.
- Support cross-functional teams with BOM updates and change requests.
Engineering workflow and adherence
- Collaborate across supporting functions (manufacturing, security, safety, configuration management and quality) and engineering teams to integrate industry best practices requirements into system development.
- Ensure engineering processes meet compliance, regulatory, and security standards.
- Identify gaps in workflows and lead initiatives to streamline and standardize engineering operations.
Engineering & Requirements Tool Management
- Administer engineering tools used for requirements management, design documentation, and workflow tracking.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert for tool configuration, process integration, and user support.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements or new tools to enhance engineering productivity.
Engineering Templates & Document Control
- Create and maintain standardized engineering templates, forms, and documentation guidelines.
- Ensure documentation is properly controlled, versioned, and accessible across teams.
- Drive consistency, quality, and compliance across all engineering documentation.
- Experience in hardware engineering operations, product lifecycle management, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of BOM structures, configuration management, and engineering change processes.
- Familiarity with system development best practices and safety/compliance workflows.
- Hands-on experience with engineering tools (e.g., requirements management systems, PLM/ALM platforms).
- Excellent communication, organization, and process development skills.
- Legal authorization to work in the US - visa sponsorship will not be provided.
- Experience managing tools such as Jira, Azure, DOORS, Visure, Agile PLM, MRPeasy or similar.
- Background working with cross-functional hardware, firmware, and manufacturing teams.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory standards.
- Experience with NI Platform and the test and measurement industry
