Inclusive Scholars Program Manager (MAIPSE), Postsecondary Transitions
Non-Unit Professional position, 37.5 hours/week, Grant Funded
Campus Location: Danvers/Lynn
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm; occasional evening and weekend hours required. Travel between campuses and to statewide meetings is necessary
SALARY: Salary range $72,000.00 - $83,000.00. The offered salary will be commensurate with experience and education but will not exceed the stated range. GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The MAIPSE Program Manager oversees the Pathways to Possibilities Inclusive College Access program, providing leadership for its administration, management, and strategic direction. The position supports students with intellectual disabilities, autism, and other developmental disabilities to succeed in college coursework and campus life, serving as the primary liaison among students, families, college faculty, schools, and state agencies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Strategic Leadership and Program Oversight
- Provide overall leadership, coordination, and strategic direction for the Pathways to Possibilities Inclusive College Access MAIPSE program to promote student success, retention, and growth.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate annual goals and objectives aligned with institutional, state, and federal requirements.
- Conduct intake assessments, track student progress, and evaluate outcomes to inform continuous improvement and ensure compliance with grant and regulatory standards.
- Prepare and submit all required reports and assessments to grantors and college leadership.
Personnel and Program Management
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate program staff, including educational coaches and administrative or instructional personnel.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive team environment and facilitate resolution of staff and student concerns in accordance with college policies.
- Establish performance standards and provide ongoing professional development and mentoring opportunities for staff.
Budget and Administrative Operations
- Develop and manage the program budget, ensuring fiscal compliance with grant and institutional guidelines.
- Direct administrative operations, including policy development, course scheduling, and maintenance of student records.
- Lead student recruitment, screening, admissions, and orientation.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to implement instructional and learning outcome goals.
Collaboration and Community Engagement
- Serve as the primary liaison among students, families, faculty, partnering schools, employers, and service agencies to support transition from high school to postsecondary education and employment.
- Coordinate with district and college personnel on transition planning, retention services, and inclusive support practices.
- Partner with employers and agencies to develop employment placement opportunities for students and program completers.
- Collaborate with the NSCC Marketing Department to promote the program through outreach, materials development, and web presence.
Compliance and Representation
- Ensure adherence to all relevant federal, state, and institutional policies, including ADA, Section 504, and licensing standards for students with disabilities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable laws and best practices in inclusive postsecondary education.
- Represent the program and college at local, state, and national meetings and conferences.
Other Duties
- Participate in college committees and initiatives that advance equity, inclusion, and program assessment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Dean of Postsecondary Transitions.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Dean of Postsecondary Transitions
Job Requirements:
- Master's degree in Special Education, Psychology, Counseling, Education or a related filed.
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience teaching students with learning disabilities, program administration, or curriculum development.
- Experience in personnel supervision and budget management.
- Proven ability to prepare and manage grant-funding programs.
- Through knowledge of transition planning, inclusive postsecondary programming (IDEA, IEP, ITP), adult service agencies, ADAAA, and Section 504.
- Experience working with young adults (ages 18-22) with intellectual disabilities or autism.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
- Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or National background check as a condition of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Supervisory experience.
- Experience writing or managing grant-funded programs.
- Bilingual (English-Spanish) proficiency.
- Experience with integrated databases Banner preferred.
