Senior Superintendent - Life Sciences

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all daily field operations and site activities for assigned projects
  • Ensure strict adherence to project safety, quality, schedule, and productivity objectives
  • Oversee site logistics, sequencing, phasing, workforce planning, and coordination of multiple trades
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and maintain accurate project schedules
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address schedule, quality, manpower, and constructability issues
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, and project turnover activities
  • Lead field meetings and communicate project status, risks, and challenges to stakeholders
  • Review and enforce compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards
  • Foster positive working relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Mentor, train, and develop field staff and junior superintendents
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
  • Identify and mitigate project risks while driving solutions to field challenges
  • Enforce company safety policies and procedures
  • Represent the company professionally with clients and project partners

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 10+ years of experience as a dedicated Superintendent with a General Contractor
  • Proven experience managing field operations, subcontractors, and multiple trades on projects valued between $10M and $50M+
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and site logistics
  • Demonstrated ability to lead fast-paced, complex construction projects from start to finish
  • Proficiency with construction management and scheduling software
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in Life Sciences projects strongly preferred; experience in Defense, Commercial, Higher Education, MSBA, or Massport projects a plus
  • Experience with complex site logistics, phased construction, and highly regulated or technically complex facilities preferred
  • Strong mentorship and team development abilities
  • Track record of delivering projects safely, on schedule, and in accordance with quality standards
