Diamond Antenna and Microwave Corporation is seeking a hands on Director of Operations at its Antenna Associates, Inc., Brockton, MA location to lead all aspects of our manufacturing operations in our small but rapidly growing manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring product quality, managing budgets and fostering a culture of continuous improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, deep manufacturing experience in complex builds, and a proven track record of delivering results.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management
- Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines are met.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environments, and regulatory standards.
- Supervise daily manufacturing operations to meet production targets.
- Monitor workflow and adjust priorities as needed to accommodate changing demands.
- Support the development and implementation of short- and long-term operational goals.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed.
Team Management & Development
- Lead and mentor a small cross-functional production team, providing coaching and hands-on support.
- Hire, train and onboard employees in proper procedures, equipment usage, and safety practices.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Ensure employees follow proper procedures, equipment usage and safety practices.
Financial & Operational Analysis
- Contribute to budgeting and cost management for labor, materials and equipment.
- Conduct margin analysis, pricing discussions and capital planning with operational insights.
- Use operational data to make informed decisions and improve processes.
Equipment & Facility Oversight
- Oversee routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and coordinate repairs with vendors or service technicians
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment.
- Support facility upkeep and infrastructure reliability

Requirements:Required
- 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing or production roles including supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, workflow and quality systems.
- Significant experience with MRP/ERP systems
- Ability to lead a small team with a positive, hands on management style.
- Strong problem solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift materials and work on the production floor as needed.
Preferred
- Experience working in a small business or startup environment.
- Background in lean manufacturing or process improvement methodologies.
- Mechanical aptitude for basic equipment maintenance.
- Familiarity with ISO, OSHA, ITAR or comparable standards.
