Location: Hyannis, MA 02601

Duration: 13-Week Assignment (Potential for Extension)

Shift: 32 Hours per Week, Rotating Days

• Shift Options: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM or 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Pay Rate: $65/hour (W2)

We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for a short-term assignment at a healthcare facility in Hyannis, MA . The ideal candidate will provide critical support in the emergency department, focusing on psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, discharge planning, and resource coordination.

• Deliver clinical social work services to patients and families in an ER setting.

• Conduct psychosocial assessments, risk evaluations, and care planning.

• Coordinate discharge and aftercare plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

• Address mental health, substance use, domestic violence, and other at-risk concerns.

• Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and resource navigation for patients and families.

• Collaborate with internal departments and community resources for optimal care continuity.

• Advocate on behalf of patients with third-party payers and external agencies.

• Facilitate placements in appropriate care facilities when necessary.

• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in Electronic Health Record systems.

• Ensure compliance with infection control and departmental safety procedures.

• Uphold ethical and professional standards in alignment with the Social Work Code of Ethics.

• Must have Emergency Room (ER) experience

• Strong clinical assessment and counseling abilities

• Familiarity with community resources and social service systems

• Excellent communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills

• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Active LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) – Massachusetts

• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
