Job Description

The role of Quality Inspector is to perform mechanical inspection on a variety of components through first piece, in-process and final inspection.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform unusual, difficult, and highly diversified inspection duties. Utilizing all types of precision measuring equipment such as Micro Heights, Optical Comparator, Surface Tester, CMM etc.

Responsible for determining acceptance or rejection of product notifying department supervisors of product that fails to meet customer specifications.

Maintain necessary records and move materials as necessary in performance of duties, established company rules and regulations, safety precautions to maintain quality standards.

Perform other related duties as required or as directed.

Qualification Requirements:

Educational/Training Requirement: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in a machine shop environment conducting mechanical inspection.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to run CMM system with PCDMIS, programming experience is a plus+++. Work from customer drawings/specifications, or verbal/written instructions from supervisor. Work with full range of inspection precision measuring instruments and special equipment.

Ability to work independently and exercise judgment.
