Job Details – Boston Healthcare Contract
- Position Title: Surgical Technician – Labor & Delivery
- Location: Boston, MA 02118 (Massachusetts healthcare jobs)
- Facility Setting: Hospital – Labor & Delivery Unit
- Contract Start Date: September 29, 2025
- Contract End Date: January 3, 2026
- Assignment Duration: 14 weeks
- Shift Schedule: 12-hour AM/PM shifts; rotating days/nights; every other weekend and holiday
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020–$2070
- 1-2 years of recent experience as a Surgical Technician in Labor & Delivery or OB/GYN hospital settings
- Proficient in handling C-Section Kits, Hysterectomy Kits, and DNC procedures
- National Surgical Technologist Certification (CAAHEP graduate, NBSTSA certified, or US Military documentation)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and supplies for Labor & Delivery procedures
- Assist in C-Sections, hysterectomies, DNCs, and other OB/GYN surgeries
- Support the Labor & Delivery team in a unit with 8 labor beds, 7 antepartum beds, 5 triage beds, 2 operating rooms (ORs), and 2 post-anesthesia care units (PACUs)
- Maintain a sterile and safe environment for patients and clinical staff
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and allied healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care
