The Department of Radiation Oncology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) in Boston is actively seeking full-time Radiation Oncology faculty members with expertise in their selected disease site subspecialty to serve as the Director of Artificial Intelligence and Clinical Analytics .
As a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, BIDMC and the Department of Radiation Oncology, provide a clinically advanced and supportive academic environment for residents, fellows, and faculty. We’re also proud and excited to be an integral part of the landmark collaboration among Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI), Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), and Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP) to establish New England’s only freestanding adult inpatient cancer hospital. The collaboration will provide unparalleled opportunities for radiation oncology and other physician specialties to be part of DFCI’s internationally recognized cancer team.
As Director of Artificial Intelligence and Clinical Analytics , this individual will provide strategic and operational leadership for the integration of AI across both the clinical and research missions of the Department of Radiation Oncology. Clinically anchored and working in close partnership with a physics counterpart, the Director will guide the development, validation, and implementation of advanced clinical analytics and AI-enabled solutions to enhance imaging, treatment planning, delivery, quality, and efficiency. They will help shape the department’s innovation agenda, including the evolution of advanced analytics into scalable AI applications and the development of an AI and Clinical Analytics program. In parallel, the Director will lead an independent, externally visible research program focused on AI in radiation oncology, fostering multidisciplinary collaboration, mentoring trainees, and positioning the department at the forefront of clinically integrated AI innovation.
Responsibilities will include clinical care with a focus on their selected disease site subspecialty in radiation oncology, teaching and research activity at the Main Campus in Boston as appropriate with an academic appointment at Harvard Medical School at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor to be determined based on experience and qualifications. This role is an employment model position in Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Following regulatory approval, successful candidates will also provide clinical care at DFCI.

- Board Certification in Radiation Oncology/eligibility within one year of employment
- Individual Federal DEA
- Massachusetts Medical License
- MA Controlled Substance Registration

Pay Range:
$460,000 - $527,500The base pay range reflects what Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations. In addition to base compensation, this role may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which may include bonuses for productivity and quality HMFP also offers a comprehensive and generous employee benefits program to eligible employees, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as retirement plan(s) with employer contributions.
