As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist customers and associates with clear communication, and report concerns with professionalism. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and promptly notifying site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision as required.
- Monitor access points and observe customer and associate activity to help identify suspicious behavior, potential theft indicators, and/or disturbances, and take appropriate action within post orders.
- Complete routine reports such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity summaries, and support security-related customer service by providing directions and/or assistance as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer Service Experience is preferred.
- Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
- Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
