Trust and Estate Paralegal
We are seeking an experienced Trust & Estate Paralegal to join our growing team in a hybrid capacity. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with extensive experience supporting attorneys in estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in trusts and estates and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities- Draft estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related instruments
- Assist with trust funding and asset transfers
- Manage probate and trust administration matters from initiation through closing
- Prepare court filings and coordinate with probate courts
- Communicate with clients, financial institutions, accountants, and advisors
- Maintain case files, calendars, and deadlines
- Prepare federal and state estate tax filings (experience preferred)
- Assist attorneys with research and document review
- Minimum 5+ years of Trust & Estate paralegal experience
- Strong knowledge of estate planning and probate procedures
- Experience drafting estate planning documents independently
- Familiarity with trust funding and asset retitling
- Proficiency in legal practice management and document management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Paralegal certificate preferred but not required
