Discovery Attorney
Wright Family Law Group is hiring a Discovery Attorney to take ownership of one of the most critical—and most detail-driven—components of litigation. If you like digging into financials, spotting inconsistencies, and turning chaos into clarity, this role is for you. If you don’t like discovery, this is not your job.
About the Role
In divorce and family law cases, discovery is where the truth lives. The Discovery Attorney is responsible for managing the full discovery process—from strategy through enforcement—ensuring that financial and factual information is identified, obtained, analyzed, and leveraged effectively. This is not a passive role. Discovery drives case value, negotiation leverage, and trial readiness. We expect this position to operate with precision, urgency, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
• Draft and manage all aspects of discovery:
- Interrogatories
- Requests for Production of Documents
- Subpoenas
• Review and analyze discovery responses for completeness and accuracy
• Identify deficiencies, inconsistencies, and red flags (including “creative accounting”)
• Develop and execute discovery strategies in collaboration with the case attorney
• Draft and argue motions related to discovery disputes
• Attend and defend/take depositions
• Appear in court for discovery hearings and related matters
• Work closely with financial analysts, paralegals, and litigation team to interpret financial data
• Ensure the firm’s own discovery responses are timely, complete, and compliant
• Organize complex financial information into usable case intelligence
What Success Looks Like:
- Nothing important gets missed
- Discovery is proactive, not reactive
- Financial narratives are clear, supported, and strategically useful
- Cases are better positioned for settlement—or trial—because of your work
