Senior enterprise cloud engineer

Job Description

A pharm company based out of Cambridge, MA is seeking a highly skilled Senior Enterprise Engineer to lead technical architecture and development for greenfield initiatives in the lab and loop technical build. This role will manage one engineer initially and may expand to include onboarding additional resources. The Senior Engineer will work closely with Accenture and internal teams to deliver enterprise-level solutions, scale existing systems, and build new architecture components.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership

o Manage one engineer and assist with onboarding future team members.

o Provide technical guidance and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.

• Technical Delivery

o Execute on draft technical deliverables for 2026, including hands-on coding and architecture design.

o Scale the generative design code based on Accenture-recommended architecture:

o Implement scaling strategies for existing code.

o Add constructs to execute all generators and combine results.

o Adapt to scientific enhancements and prepare for integration with other model outputs.

o Build new architecture components such as:

o Design Tracker

o Project TPP Database

o Drive evolution of the future architecture plan.

• Collaboration

o Partner with Accenture for project management, gap analysis, and resource coordination.

o Maintain strong communication with stakeholders and manage relationships with Onyx.

$85-90/hr depending on skills

Skills and Requirements

• 8+ years of Enterprise Architecture Expertise (ability to design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient systems)

• Principal Engineer Coding Level - Language-agnostic with strong hands-on coding experience.

• Technical Stack - Python, BigQuery, Cloud Run, Onyx GCP.

• Familiarity with HPC environments (SLURM - on-prem) and cloud solutions (Azure)

• Ability to lead in a consultative role and drive greenfield builds.

o Experience with pipeline pilots, analytics, and green systems. - Cheminformatics experience

• Pharmaceutical experience

• Experience scaling generative design systems.

• Familiarity with AIPL, OBatch, SLURM, and Azure environments.

• Previous work with scientific or small molecule design projects.
