Utility Vegetation Inspector

Davey Resource Group is hiring Vegetation Management professionals to support major electric utilities in maintaining safe power infrastructure and healthy ecosystems . This role is ideal for candidates with backgrounds in forestry, environmental science, arboriculture, horticulture, or natural resources who enjoy fieldwork and problem-solving.

What You'll Do

• Inspect utility rights-of-way and assess vegetation conditions

• Identify trees and brush that require trimming, removal, or management

• Use GIS maps and mobile technology to collect field data

• Support Integrated Vegetation Management (IVM) projects

• Collaborate with project managers and vegetation crews

What We're Looking For

• Passion for working outdoors and hiking in varied terrain

• Ability to read maps/GIS and work independently in the field

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

• Ability to identify local tree species or willingness to learn

Preferred: Forestry or environmental degree, ISA Certified Arborist, vegetation management or herbicide application experience.
