Job Description:

YWCA of Lowell has an exciting opportunity for an experienced community-minded professional van driver to join our growing Youth and Family Services team. This position does not require a CDL license.

Available Position:

● Cargo Van Driver – Load and drive our Roaming Resource cargo van with another YWCA staff member on board to deliver resources to targeted neighborhoods in Lowell. This position is for 6-8 daytime weekday hours per week based on program needs.

What You Will Do:

● Conduct daily vehicle safety checks.

● Load YWCA Lowell cargo van with varied resources including food, clothing, PPE, hygiene products, books, and other items.

● Deliver these resources to targeted neighborhoods.

● Maintain daily cleanliness and sanitation of vehicles.

● Monitor and maintain fuel levels and add fuel to the cargo van and mini-bus as needed.

● Notify supervisor of vehicle safety and maintenance concerns.

● Report to the Youth and Family Services Director.

Requirements :

● Have a high school diploma or equivalent.

● Have a reliable means of transportation to get back and forth to work as scheduled.

● Provide documentation of a safe driving record.

● Have a minimum of 3 years driving experience,

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs

● Have current certification in American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED, or ability to obtain it immediately upon notification of hire.

● Successfully complete a CORI and SORI and reference review.

Hourly Rate : Up to$25.00/hr
