Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K-12 students in a school setting located in New Bedford, MA. This position offers a diverse caseload, providing the chance to make a meaningful impact on students communication development across various grade levels.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- DESE-required teaching certification
- Experience working with school-aged children (K-12) preferred
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and evidence-based interventions
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other professionals
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations and assessments of students' speech and language abilities
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Delivering therapy services tailored to the unique needs of each student
- Maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Participating in team meetings and collaborating with teachers and support staff to support student progress
- Communicating regularly with families to provide updates and involve them in the therapy process
