Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in various automotive repair tasks. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and maintaining vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. A focus on quality workmanship and customer satisfaction is essential. Duties

• Diagnose and repair automotive issues, including engine problems, brake systems, steering and suspension / chassis, and electrical components.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
• Participate in the Massachusetts Vehicle Check Inspection program as we are a Class D inspection station, inspecting non-commercial vehicles and heavy duty commercial vehicle over 26,000 pounds.
• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
• Navigate Mitchell 1 repair software and Identifix to look up repair information, recommended time and mileage based maintenance items, etc.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Must be able to work in a team player environment as we are all working toward the common goal of providing a time efficient, cost effective, clean, organized and accurate repair experience for our large customer base.
• Must be willing to learn and grasp new concepts.
• Applicant is required to have the tools necessary to perform most automotive repair and maintenance tasks. Shop provides specialty tools and equipment.
• Maintain a positive attitude while interacting with customers and colleagues.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role is required.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Familiarity with diesel engine repair is a plus.
• Proficient in using diagnostic equipment for electrical / computer diagnostics and repair.
• Proficiency with front end alignments is a plus (Hunter Hawkeye Elite).
