Assistant General Manager – High-Volume Upscale Casual Restaurant
Location: South Boston
Base Salary: $72,000 - $77,000/year

A premier, upscale casual restaurant in the heart of South Boston is seeking a dynamic Assistant General Manager to help steer our daily operations. Known for our globally inspired, seasonal cuisine, vibrant weekend brunches, and an eclectic craft beverage program, we deliver a high-energy dining experience to every guest who walks through our doors.
As the Assistant General Manager, you will work hand-in-hand with the General Manager to oversee floor service, mentor staff, and guarantee a flawless guest experience. This is a hands-on, floor-focused leadership role designed for an individual who excels in high-volume environments, focuses on operational solutions, and leads by example.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct Floor Operations: Supervise and actively support front-of-house staff during peak dinner and weekend brunch services.
- Drive Guest Satisfaction: Elevate the overall guest experience, anticipating needs and swiftly resolving any issues to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Develop the Team: Train, mentor, and coach team members on elevated service standards, dining etiquette, and operational protocols.
- Spearhead Training: Lead ongoing educational initiatives aligned with our core company goals to build a knowledgeable, high-performing team.
- Beverage Program Mastery: Maintain and share a comprehensive understanding of our extensive beer, wine, and craft cocktail offerings.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years in a management or lead service role within a high-volume restaurant setting.
- A strong, practical understanding of proper service techniques and hospitality standards.
- A confident leadership presence paired with a genuine passion for the hospitality industry.
- The proven ability to stay highly organized, composed, and solution-oriented under pressure.
- Three professional references required.
