Director, Business HR - Operations
- Lead the creation and implementation of HR Strategies to meet both short-term and long-term organizational and business needs.
- Coach, consult, and influence site business leaders, regarding leadership development, succession planning, and talent management. Engage and influence business leaders through strong relationship-building skills and strategic insights.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract, develop and retain talent that meets current and future business needs. This includes identifying and cultivating new capabilities required for future success. Lead talent development and succession planning efforts.
- Ensure the effective delivery of all HR programs and services, and be responsible for HR results in the business, including client satisfaction, HR effectiveness, and associated financial results.
- Establish, build, and maintain strong relationships with key HR partners from all Centers of Excellence and Service Centers to ensure HR elements are successfully coordinated to meet site business needs; include relationship management, leadership, HR roles & responsibilities, and service delivery commitments.
- Provides consultation on and leads organization design and effectiveness / structure issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Drive people manager development to create clarity and consistency of expectations, accountability, and enriched manager/employee experiences. Partner with people leaders to shape a culture of high employee engagement, high performance, diversity and inclusion.
- Identify, plan, and execute change management strategies and effective communication strategies that align with business objectives.
- Champion AbbVie Ways We Work with Business by modeling, educating, and coaching on these behaviors.
- Identify trends and new approaches to business processes that should be both incremental and ahead of the curve.
- Develop proposals and recommendations to resolve strategically important issues with strategic approach to problem-solving on HR issues (enterprise mindset, connecting the dots, thinking ahead)
- Leads large scale, strategic projects and initiative with multi-year impact, capable of creating transformational change in a matrix environment
- Build, develop, deploy, and coach a team of HR professionals
- Bachelor's degree
- 12+ years of relevant HR experience
- Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting the business; strong business acumen
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in a complex and demanding environment
- Project management or business experience
- Experience in organizational development, design, and effectiveness
- Experience supporting a global business and partnering with internationally-based business leaders and HR colleagues
- Strategic thinking with proven experience in leading multiple programs and initiatives, with the ability to prioritize
- Significant breadth of understanding of functional/ CoE HR roles and responsibilities and their impact on the business
- Experience interacting with and presenting to senior management. Ability to engage employees at all levels
- Supervisory, leadership experience
- The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
