We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Lead to oversee inventory management processes for our client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate inventory levels, incoming & outgoing purchase orders, optimizing stock management, and leading a team to maintain efficient operations. This role requires strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of materials management in the building materials industry.

Duties

• Manage and oversee daily inventory operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency in stock levels.
• Receive & review incoming purchase orders
• Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory integrity.
• Utilize data analysis skills to identify trends and make informed decisions regarding inventory replenishment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain processes and improve overall efficiency.
• Implement root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies and develop strategies to mitigate future issues.
• Leverage data visualization tools to present inventory reports and insights to stakeholders.
• Investigate and reconcile inventory variances, reporting findings to management.
• Create and maintain documentation for inventory control procedures.
• Train and mentor team members on best practices in materials management and inventory control.

• 3 to 5 years experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or related field (building materials industry preferred)
• High School diploma or GED (Required)
• Proven experience in using warehouse management systems is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and data analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience with root cause analysis techniques to address best practices and operational challenges of inventory control.
• Ability to lift 70+ pounds and work in an active warehouse environment.
• Forklift certification is a plus but not required.
