Boston Healthcare Job Details

• Location: Boston, Massachusetts (Zip: 02215) – Massachusetts healthcare jobs
• Setting: Hospital Cardiac Catheterization Lab
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (September 2, 2025 – November 29, 2025)
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $3000-$3080
• Employment Type: Travel Cath Lab Technologist (Locum Tenens)

Cath Lab Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist or Cardiac Catheterization Technologist
• Active Massachusetts state license required
• Certification: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
• BLS, ACLS, and CPR certifications required
• COVID vaccination series, booster, and flu vaccination required (medical exemptions accepted)
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and infection control procedures
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility

Cath Lab Technologist Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of percutaneous coronary intervention and interventional cardiology procedures
• Operate radiographic, hemodynamic monitoring, and cardiac stimulation equipment
• Prepare and drape patients using standard sterile technique
• Monitor, assess, and document hemodynamic measurements and procedural steps
• Independently operate imaging equipment and troubleshoot technical issues
• Assist physicians during electrophysiology interventions and device implants
• Ensure accurate labeling and storage of patient images and documentation in PACS
• Monitor radiation exposure and maintain ALARA standards for patient and staff safety
• Maintain inventory, prepare procedural rooms, and track supply usage
• Serve as a mentor and preceptor to new staff and students
• Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and safe healthcare work environment
• Apply universal precautions and proper infection control procedures
