Staff Accountant POST NUMBER: 474178
Vaco by Highspring has partnered with our client to hire a Staff Accountant to join their team for a 3–6-month contract. This role will begin onsite and will move to a hybrid work model.
Responsibilities :
- Assist with closing activities at the end of each month, including creating journal entries, reconciling accounts, and preparing supporting documentation.
- Handle balance sheet and general administrative account reconciliations, record accruals, and investigate differences compared to projected figures.
- Reconcile credit cards.
- Review expenses to ensure they align with budget and forecast expectations.
- Facilitate month-end reviews and prepare finalized financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets.
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly reporting packages and presentations.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Prior public accounting experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
