About the Role:
As a Host/Hostess at Uno Pizzeria & Grill, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibility will be to warmly greet and seat customers, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued from the moment they enter. You will manage reservations and waitlists efficiently, optimizing table turnover while maintaining a pleasant atmosphere. Additionally, you will assist in coordinating the flow of service between the front and back of the house, ensuring that all guests receive timely attention. Ultimately, your role is crucial in creating a positive first impression and enhancing customer satisfaction, which drives repeat business and contributes to the restaurant's success.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with point-of-sale systems.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, providing a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
- Manage reservations and waitlists, ensuring efficient seating arrangements.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to coordinate service.
- Assist guests with inquiries about the menu and restaurant policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
