Part-Time Box Office Assistant
Job Title: Part-Time Box Office Assistant
Location: The Wilbur, Boston, MA
Reports to: Director of Ticketing
Position Summary:
The Wilbur is seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Part-Time Box Office Attendant to join our team. This position plays a key role in providing exceptional customer service to our patrons and supporting the daily operations of the Box Office. Ideal candidates are personable, quick-thinking, and comfortable working in a fast-paced live entertainment environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sell tickets in person and assist with phone inquiries using Ticketmaster software
- Provide information about shows, seating options, policies, and venue accessibility
- Accurately process cash, credit card, and mobile transactions
- Distribute will-call tickets and assist guests with mobile tickets and troubleshooting
- Resolve customer issues with professionalism and courtesy
- Work event shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Assist with line management and ticket scanning when needed
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Box Office space
- Communicate effectively with venue staff and management to ensure smooth event operations
Qualifications:
- Previous Box Office, retail, or customer service experience preferred
- Familiarity with Ticketmaster or other ticketing systems is a plus
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable handling cash and balancing a cash drawer
- Must be punctual, reliable, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Evening and weekend availability required
