Business Automation Development Manager

Overview: Under the direction of the Director of Business Process Management, the candidate will be experienced and motivated as the Business Efficiencies Manager to drive innovation, efficiency, and excellence across our organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading development teams in delivering automated solutions across the enterprise with a strong ability to translate strategic intent into technical action. This role demands a leader capable of providing vision and expertise in designing collaborative systems, particularly within Microsoft 365-based platforms. The candidate will be adept at employing Agile best practices, managing project roadmaps, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders to optimize business priorities and deliver impactful solutions. Experience in managing, developing knowledge management policies, and streamlining digital collaboration platforms is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable Responsibilities: - Lead and manage a team of automation developers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Lead role in identifying, managing and validating process automation and workflow solutions, including planning and defining verification strategies, establishing acceptance criteria, selecting appropriate testing methodologies, executing validation tests, and analyzing outcomes to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of SharePoint-based platforms and applications, ensuring cohesive and well-integrated solutions for organizational data and workflow management.
- Create system/solution models, specifications, diagrams and assist in documenting solution operational procedures and data flows for newly implemented systems and applications. Provide training to IT operation resources.
- Collaborate with business lines to drive adoption of new automation processes and technologies.
- Monitor the performance of automation systems and services, ensuring they meet organizational requirements. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for automation operations.
- Establish and enforce department service level agreements in consultation with end users to establish problem resolution expectations and timeframes.
- Performs all duties in accordance with prescribed regulatory compliance guidelines.
- Ensure the integrity in confidentiality of data residing in the Banks information systems in order to maintain and enhance regulatory compliance guidelines.
- Performs related and unrelated duties as may be required.
Requirements: Education - Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required
Work Experience - 5+ years system, operational and business experience delivering business process solutions is required
- 3+ years proven experience leading and managing development teams, including project planning and resource allocation is required
Additional Requirements - Experience with automation platforms such as UiPath, Nintex, or Microsoft Power Platform.
- Proficient with following Microsoft technologies SharePoint 2019, M365 and other components of Microsoft technology.
- Experience in overseeing large-scale initiatives with cross-functional teams, including directing strategic Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) initiatives.
- Skilled in implementing Agile best practices for project roadmaps and stakeholder collaboration.
- Solid project management skills, including: the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent analytical skills as proven through past success creating, implementing, and executing business process solutions. Ability to establish policies and procedures for data migration, electronic records management, and compliance.
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and process optimization techniques.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Must have a valid driver's license. Regular travel to bank sites required.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills are necessary.
- Must have schedule flexibility and be able to work extended hours and weekends.

Licenses and Certifications - Certified Automation Professional (CAP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) Preferred
