Required Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in metal fabrication or a similar environment, with hands-on inspection and quality control in a continuous improvement QMS setting.
- Proficiency in dimensional verification, including PPAP and first article inspections.
- Familiarity with GD&T concepts and ability to interpret manufacturing documentation.
- Experience programming and operating FARO & Micro-Vu measurement equipment.
- Strong data collection, analysis, and quality metrics presentation skills.
- Ability to develop calibration procedures and perform equipment calibration per ISO standards.
- Excellent communication skills for interpreting technical information and providing training.
- Effective time management and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Certification as a Quality Technician.
- Experience with programming for FARO and Micro-Vu measurement systems.
- Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and internet tools.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memos, and simple correspondence.
- Experience working in a metal fabrication environment under a formal QMS.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in a related field.
- Over 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing inspection role, particularly in metal fabrication environments.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday.
- Exposure to moderate and occasionally loud work environments with moving mechanical parts.
- Physical capacity to stand, sit, handle tools, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Willingness to support calibration, documentation audits, and process improvement initiatives.
- Certifications and programming skills for measurement equipment are a plus.
