If machining challenging geometries on Okuma equipment sounds exciting, you’ll feel at home at Plansee USA in Franklin. We push the boundaries of what’s possible with molybdenum and tungsten—materials behind many high‑tech breakthroughs.

Your mission

Turn intricate drawings into flawless parts. You’ll interpret GD&T, plan setups, and run Okuma Multus B300/B400 mill‑turns and standard Okuma CNC lathes. On the floor, you’ll fine‑tune programs, edit G/M codes, and collaborate with teammates to achieve first‑pass yield on non‑routine work.

What challenges will you conquer?

• Surfaces at unusual or compound angles and features requiring compound indexing.
• Multiple‑lead and other non‑standard screw threads, helical features, worm threads, and gear‑like forms.
• Interrelated dimensions and complex configurations that demand creative adaptations of conventional tooling.
• Multiple setups, in‑place machining of fixtures, first‑run program debugging, and recommending program adjustments.

What you’ll need to succeed

• CNC Machinist Level 3 or 4 experience.
• Hands‑on proficiency with Okuma Multus B300/B400 and standard Okuma CNC lathes.
• Capability to set up and operate both mill‑turns and standard lathes; readiness to assist across multiple machines.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T; strong grasp of G and M codes and simple program edits.
• Measurement expertise using hand tools, CMM, and optical comparators.
• Detail‑minded communicator and dependable teammate.
